Why the address is only the beginning
A useful snow removal budget needs to know what work happens at the address. Common walkways, entrances and vehicle lanes have different demands. A steep ramp or tightly parked lot can require a different approach from an open surface. The same municipality can also include exposed hills and lower routes, so neither a postal address nor a citywide average can finish the job of estimating scope.
Prepare the surfaces you want serviced
Mark common routes on a simple plan or clear photographs. Separate parking stalls from drive lanes and identify accessible routes and ramp entries. Common-route stairs and landings can be included in the agreed walkway scope without asking residents to count individual steps. Stairs and paths serving individual units should be identified as additional work when requested.
Choose a service arrangement you can understand
Seasonal service, per-event visits and hourly work have different terms. Ask for the full seasonal amount before GST and the work it covers. A monthly payment is not an extra month of service or proof of unlimited visits. Clearing and treatment triggers, repeat passes and extraordinary-weather provisions belong in the written proposal.
Keep ice treatment and snow storage in the plan
Snow-free days can still need treatment. Discuss the treated areas and product rather than assuming every visit uses the same quantity. Confirm where routine plowing can leave piles. Loading, relocation, off-site hauling and disposal are separate services unless explicitly included, with the applicable equipment, transport and other costs agreed before work starts.

SnowRemoval.tv and PlowWow are part of the IAM network. PlowWow is developing its preliminary online pricing calculator while continuing to accept reviewed quote requests. The calculator is not presented as a live, universally accurate address-pricing service. Share the property brief and access requirements to get a proposal that can be checked against the work.
